hi guys im new to the forum and just like to say hi and ask a few questions about my car. since brand new iv expircened a noise that comes from the passenger side rear wheel. the sound is as if there is a high spot of the brake pad or the disk is wapped. it makes a hising noise. I took it to ford twice and all they did is cleaned it out and said they cant find anything wrong. I called the service manager and he told me if they want to look at it furture they will charge me. so I took it someone eles while I was getting my car serived at another ford dealer I asked them about it so they looked into it. the problem they found is that my axels are bent! and because I lowered the car its a common problem they see when people lower there cars. I find this hard to belive when it started happening around 400km into buying it new. also I have another problem it seems I have a few oil leaks from my car from the sight of my driveway. I took it to my mates shop were he hoisted it up and we noticed there is oil leaking from the timing case and the rear transmion seal. I already had my rear transmion seal fixed by ford under warrenty and it seems like its busted again. what do you guys think I should do. car is stock besides 20" wheels and lowered.

Take it to Ford. That's what warranty is all about.

I can't possibly see how lowering a ute would have any influence on the axles.

Hey mate just thought I'd let you know, I have a squeak coming from the rear. Ford tightened the handbrake cable and it has gotten a lot quieter. However when I picked up the car, they said I too have a bent rear axle.

Mine is also lowered, but I doubt it would affect the axle?

Mine also squeaks on the right brake when cornering hard. No one knows what it is. Mines a ute and recently lowered it. No idea....

Bent axle = common problem but they don't admit to it.

It is only ever so slightly bent which causes the disc to touch the pad when rotating. The only way to confirm it is to jack the car up, and put it in gear. Wheel/s will move in and outwards. (yes rims aren't manufactured perfectly.)If the left is bent, then there is a good chance the right is bent. Just get ready for the 'you lost it and hit a gutter' argument!
