Dont get me wrong, their not over the top loud, but definately not quiet, you can happily cruise on the freeway and not suffer drone, but you will hear the note, where as the 3.5inch system will be fairly quiet under the same conditions. Also the mild steel systems are usually deeper in note due to the thicker, heavier piping and muffler casing. Basically the same as what comes on the ute systems.

At the moment I have a 5" cat and removed centre muffler replaced with straight pipes on my fg manual ute. I'm looking for a really aggressive note under boost. I want it to be pretty loud and sound mental when I give it some. I've heard a mates bf f6 ute with 4" dump, 4" cat into twin 2.5" and sounds really good. I need some opinions on what system to go in my ute. Would the 4inch turbo back system be the way to go or is the twin 2.5 system just as loud in an fg? Not looking to push any more than 350rwkw.. I always thought I would be happy around 360kw. now I have 400 and allready thinking about an e85 setup and more boost for 450. The chase for HP is addictive and endless. At least if you go the 4" you wont have to go bigger later.
