hey all, so I have a 2003 BA xr6 turbo mk1 auto, it currently has 118xxx kms on the clock and recently whenever im sitting at idle in neutral the engine seems to sound like it kinda half stops running, not firing to the point where it just about stalls itself. the only way to stop it ive found is to give it a bit of a kick on the accellerator. any suggestions what I might need to look at?? also same situation sitting in idle in drive it starts vibrating the whole car. yes I may sound like an idiot but hey id prefer to ask and get fixed as opposed to wreck the car completely. thanks.

Mine has a really rough idle on a cold start doesnt sound like its going to stall..sort of a lumpy cam idle goes away after about 5-10sec. Is this related to McFriz's idle problem?

not sure, but with the carby cleaner, just remove the plastic pipe going to the throttle body. avoid spraying lots of the cleaner down the throttle body, I usually just spray some on a clean rag and wipe it all clean. push the butterfly back and wipe all around the edges too. and watch out for your car paint, that stuff isn't good for paint :buttrock:
