Hey guys,

I've done quite a bit of searching around and haven't had much luck in answering my question.

I was planning to have the power and signal run down the drivers side, with RCA running down the passenger side. This is because the battery is obviously on the drivers side and I don't exactly want a power cable running across my engine bay if I can avoid it. I know that if I absolutely need to I can run it around the left and top edge to the grommet in the passenger footwell. Which brings me to my question:

Is there a grommet in the drivers side footwell that will fit 6 gauge power through it?

I've heard that there is a grommet in the automatics that allow the clutch cables to feed through, and being and automatic is unused. My car is a manual so this is not an option.

Cheers.

Yeh there is.

Really close to where the steering column is.

You can't miss it... it's pretty big

Well I drive a manual so that grommet was occupied by the brake and clutch cables for me.

I ended up following the bonnet release cable. If you jack the drivers side front wheel up and remove the plastic arch you'll soon discover that a massive wiring loom and the bonnet release cable go from the bonnet into the wheel arch and then into the cabin through a decent sized hole. I managed to fit 4ga through it without using a grommet and my amp works fine =]

I'll also add that it pops up in the cabin right where you want it. You can remove the kick panels and scuff guards and tuck it under the carpet and run it all the way to the boot. Get your remote signal off the cigarette lighter, run it under the drivers foot well carpet and along the same path and voila. Good as gold!

That sounds like a good idea, I found the hole top left of the engine bay, looks like that'll be the way to go. I might need to find someone with a shed that I can work in though because I don't have enough space where I currently live to do it, have to park my car on the grass to do any work unfortunately.

Might RCA's for now and see if I can get power done later.

If anyone in Perth wants to lend me a garage, I would happily take up your offer!

Just checks Todds car. He has a full Pro install from Wal at Top End audio and the power cables run near the coolant reservoir to the left of the brake booster. Next to the alarm in a FPV.

The one I'm talking about is lower down than the highlighted spot.

If you get into the drivers side footwell you can push it out from the inside of the car.

With my wiring I drilled a hole through it and ran all the cables/boost line through there.
