Welcome to the forum mate.

Is that 5k budget for looks and power?

For more noise/spool sound, replace the cone leading into the turbo with an alloy pipe. You can make one yourself or buy one from RapidSystems or Plazmaman. An XR8 Airbox is also a cheap mod for more noise and slight power gains. To make proper gains you will need a tune as well as a few minor mods like injectors, cat etc.

For looks if it was me I'd loose the rear spoiler and tint the windows as dark as you can, worry about rims later on.

Good luck with it, they're great fun.

Whilst on the topic of spoiler removal, I'm a bit of a fan of the "sleeper look".....has anyone devised a leak proof method to cover the boot lid holes, ie. plugs, grommets, something stick-on, etc??

Oh, and by the way JET, I'm the club Prez at SAU-SA so make sure you come and say g'day at the Willall dyno day next month :beerchug:

Only way to delete rear spoiler is to purchase a new bootlid. I replaced mine and it cost me just on $300 trade price from FORD. Then you have to add the Centre brake light in the rear parcel shelf. I also fitted the G6 boot lid liner. A nice finishing touch as they look "unfinished " without it in my opinion.

My T is Winter white so colour matching was easier. I used the original boot mould and delete badges.

Hi, im new to fordxr6turbo, but have owned plenty of fords xr6t's and have read and used guidance from these forums for years to help me get my current car to where it is today, but ive never signed up till today.

I know this thread started donkeys ago, but im also in Adelaide and im now ready to take my 08 G6ET to 400rwkw and im deciding on who to go to and heaps of people are saying Bruce, but ive also I heard horror stories about some of his work and seen bad reviews to date on google. I have been talking to them about pricing and work im looking at doing and they are very cluey about everything and pricing seems to good to be true, but what im asking is can I trust him now 8 years down the track since JET recommended him with my baby?
