Faulty Pcv?

Okay guys, Ive installed a catch can onto the rear PCV the other day, And I lost a couple pound of boost.. the car didnt seem any less powerfull but still im a little worried.

Would a Fualty PCv cause a boost leak because its connected to the plenum?

Would the Can see boost at all?

I connected one of the hoses from the can I put on straight to the pcv so it was acting like stock but still only 4-5pound boost.

Anyone have any ideas on wht this could be?

Im starting to think it may just be my gauge as im sure id loose 20 or 30 horsepower with 2 PSI less boost?

The gauge seems to sit about a pound below zero when the engine is off. maybe that's it?

Anyway Just trying to figure out what is going on and if anyone has any ideas as to what it could be?

Found out today it hits full boost briefly then backs off to 4psi again at WOT at higher speeds and higher gear ( 5th at 110kmh)

Anyone got any ideas what this could be?
