I understand Ford increased the boost level in the FG to 10 psi (please correct me if I'm wrong) - Reason being I am thinking of getting the car tuned and don't want it to go bang - conservative tune. Cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/74425-fg-stock-boost/ Share on other sites

Conservative tune with stock injectors maxed will be smack on that. That will give you 260 - 270ish rwkw. To crack 280+ with more boost you will need upgraded injectors and intercooler pipe kit. 300rwkw reliably needs cooler upgrade and cat also. It would run around 15psi with that combo. Currently running 15/16 tapering off up top with current mods.Benny. I reckon it had something to do with the overboost function.Still stock, but I've upgraded all the intercooler pipes and rubber joiners. Even with a stock tune I'd fit one. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/74425-fg-stock-boost/#findComment-1098921 Share on other sites
