Hey guys, this has probably been asked a hundred times and I've tried searching through the forums but cant get exact answers.

I've got a 2003 ba xr6 turbo stock at the moment. Had it on the dyno and it's putting out 180rwkw stock.

I'm looking to try get a bit more power out of it but am on a bit of a budget cause I want to have some left over for a nice set of wheels.

If I were looking to get to around 250-260rwkw what would the best options be?

I was thinking maybe of a custome tune, injectors and a k&n air filter. Do you think this would get me to that kind of power and how much should I expect to pay for each of those items? I'm guessing around $1400 for the tune and $700 for injectors??

If I were to look at adding a high flow cat or replacing the exhaust cat back how much extra power would that get me and also what should I be paying? Would I then need to be upgrading other things?

Any help is appreciated, cheers!

I think youll be looking at alot more things like turbo back exhaust, valve springs, turbo flapper mod/actuator, and probably more intake stuff.

Just do tune, injectors, filter and do the cat as well. Don't worry about a cat back system. That should get you there easily enough. Cat would cost about $300-$350 all up.

Ive got the same mods pushing 304rwkw but I have a F6 which has a bigger cooler and better valve springs.

Thanks for that. I reckon that's the way I'll go. Do you know how much I should be looking to pay for the tune and injectors?

+1 for Cat/injectors and tune.

Around 1400 for tune including an Xcal 3

I think its around 550 for 60lb Dekas Fitted.

I think Xplode Cats are 170 odd? Or some site sponsers sell them, about 100 to fit.

180 is a touch on the low side, so it might be a tough dyno or your cars low on power alreasdy.

If your valve springs hold up 260-270 should be possible with those mods. A Cat will give big gains and free up the Vsprings a little too.

high flow cat is needed for sure

F6 intake and k&n is a cheap power upgrade

60lb dekka injectors are bloody cheap now

how old are your coils and plugs?

Tune and Xcal3 about $1500

Injectors $400-500 fitted

Cat + Install $300-$400 fitted

K&N + Second CAI- ~$200

Should see nearly 300rwkw's if your valve springs are ok.. After this cooler, better intake, dump, fuel pump/surge tank, dump pipe/cat back.. etc.. should see over 300rwkw's
