Hello All, Im fairly New to this Engine.

Just curious as to how loud the injector tick normally is. Ive only had the car a week or so.

But at the moment I figured it ticks very selectively, only at idle ussually when warm.

Its a very noticable tick coming from the right side of the engine.

I havent had a really really good look and listen yet but I was just curious as to wether this is normal or not.

Thanks in adavance for your replies.

Dave

If it's the tick I think your descibing it's all fine. Your 6 injectors are really just a bunch of little solenoids all opening and closing at the specified time to deliver fuel to the engine when required. The Ford 6 is quite loud with regards to the injectors firing.

And just so you know, the injectors are on the left side of the engine.:spoton:

Ticking form the r/h side of the engine could possibly be an exhaust leak.

How old is the car and how many kms?

Standing infront of the car looking at engine bay, injectors are on the right hand side!! I think that's what he means!

Yeah I was referring to right hand side when looking at the engine from the front.. so left hand side if you say flyway orientation is how its done.

Well im glad that's all good then..

Does seem to be very selective though, sometimes quiet sometimes loud, I will keep a ear on it to see if I can find a pattern :S

Thanks guys!

Oh and its a 03 BAMK1 110kms
