Hi all just thought I'd give you a sneak peek of the new DBA 4000's that will be fitted to my FG in 2 days, can't wait!

The pads I've chosen to use with these new babies are the Project MU NS pads.

Will let you all know how they go on Friday after a day of bedding and a day of spirited driving!

They look different. Any other improvements other than the different slot design?

Benny

They have trialed them with the V8 Brute utes and the most noticable trait that the ute guys mentioned was that the inital bite was 30 - 40 % better.

Ok the DBA's are on now and I must say driving around today (bedding) they feel really good. I will be able to give them some better stops tomorrow after I feel that they are ready to go but the double demerits aren't prob the best time to be testing brakes!

Anyways see below a pic of them fitted with the Project MU pads fitted:-

Well I have the earlier style on my FGT and have had them a little over 6 months, Im ready to put the factory ones on as they took better punishment then these. Emailed DBA about it, no response. I have issues forever with DBA discs, like I said I have punished the factory rotores with Ferodos in and they never once showed signs of giving up. I will say the DBAs with the Ferodos bit hard but the things just didnt have the life. I have to get them machined now. Wont be doing them again.

I agree, the 4000 DBA are a little soft.We used 4000 and PBR performance pads on F6 325mm discs and the pads and discs wore out from new 32mm to under 30mm in 30 thousand Ks. Went EBC Red and RDA gold this time.
