Mention your thoughts to take it up with the ACCC and ask for the world, otherwise

tell 'em to blow it out thier arses. Guarenteed the directors of the dealership will cave in as the fines

are potentially astronomical.

I have appeared before the ACCC as a witness and their powers are far more reaching

than the Police in terms of warrants etc. + They are kents to boot when the mood takes them. No objections from the defence.

Do you have a seven day cooling off period on second hand vehicles down there?

If so I'd suggest ignoring them for a week, have a look around at what else you can find, and only then go ahead with the sale if you're absolutely certain. I know passion can interfere with sound judgement and you're overly keen on this particular vehicle but the fact that they are trying to fck you over so obviously rings alarm bells.

The deal is done just give them the money ( bottom line on the contract) and your car and drive off in your new car. Dont take any _hit from them.

I think that the fact that they have knocked $500 off that $1000 already puts them at fault. You will probably find the $500 is their break even point and they have screwed up somewhere along the line. I say take it to them. Or ask them to take out the bluetooth to knock off that final $500.
