Not sure if it put a T04Z and go the hole works or something else. I contacted GCG Turbs in sydney to get a ruf price on a T04Z. the guy told me they have an option that is you send them your turbo the refurb it, do the flapper mod with actuator and install a bigger turbine keeping all existing housings so it a bolt straight back on job. when I asked how does this compair to a T04z I got the answer it very close but not quite as big but very close my question is how much biger than std is a T04Z and has anyone had this mod done from GCG I want to find out if its worth it as it costs $2150. if its not really worth it I would rather put that money toward a t04z and setup. The reason for the upgrade is I have my std turbo running 18psi and I want to get my boost levels down to say 14 and maybe in the future push it a bit harder. If anyone can help it would be greatregards Anthony Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/74360-gcg-turbo-upgrade/ Share on other sites

Especialy if you want too run a Nizpro or similar AirboxI wound up relocating the power steering tank, modifying the power steering, supply, return and pressure lines and modded the pump too suit the extended inlet hose.Im very happy with the setup on my car. I can happily see 18psi @ 3k in 4th gear, and its taken alot of work too get the gate too flow enough and too get the Eboost im using setup right, otherwise instantaneous 24psi is on the cards. Mine bolted straight back into place with zero modifications and is currently running a 4inch Plazmaman intake. However if I had my time again I would have saved my money and bought a T04 or something bigger just cuz I love the highmount look Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/74360-gcg-turbo-upgrade/#findComment-1097913 Share on other sites
