C and v tried to organize 1 last year and didn't get enough people so money was refunded

200 per person

You will probably b able to fish out the thread

I'd be keen if one is organized though

I'd be keen!

Been there twice before, and I highly recommend it.

First time the car was with stock tune, stock injectors, stock intercooler etc

Only engine mod was FG F6 oil cooler, bigger F6 ZF cooler/heat exchanger, K&N filter and XR8 intake. About 230rwkw.

Modified the suspension to Lovell Springs, Koni reds and bigger sway bars. Didn't get too serious with coilovers as it's a daily driven work/family car. Tyres were 245 18" Toyo R888's, 4 pot Front Brembos with SBS front pads, rear Territory brakes. Wheels were 18" x 8.5" Enkei RPF01's to clear the Brembos.

Best lap time was a 2min 01.

Next time was last year, and only mod was a tune to 276rwkw and a cold day. Knocked off 5 sec to 1min56!

if you are going to try and organise a track day at eastern creek, I heavily suggest you ring them and find out about their hire costs. A mate of mine used to organise/run the track days for ferrari club nsw. They flat out refused to go to eastern creek because of the prices, which from what I believe, a mid week track day at EC is about double what wakefield charge for a sat/sun hire.

Your best bet is to investigate whether you can rock upto a private practice day

STD track day at eastern creek on weekday was 300 last time I went

Wakefield is 120 during the week + u have to have their license which I think is 60

Wakefield is a good track for the ford IMO

"safe driving" only

3 groups 20 min each

This has now changed for 2011. I think they are no longer holding 20 min sessions.

Fast group has all am, intermediate and beginner group has all pm.

sorry, should re-iterate, the ferrari club was going to hire the entire circuit, which I believe was around the $14,000 for the entire day (8am-4:30pm)

Add on top, 27 flag marshalls were needed (had to be accredited), a recovery vehicle was required (again had to be cams accredited, why I have NFI!) or you could pay extra to have EC supply above items.

The Ferrari clubs held their nationals there a few years ago, was quite interesting when the clerk of the course wanted all cars to have secondary restraints on rear hinged bonnets, so basically they wanted people to drill holes in the bodywork of $600-$700,000 cars. didnt go down well!!

suffice to say, they have used wakefield and oran park exclusively for the last 4 odd years until OP closed
