OK you two Jagophiles,

There are two other older cars that I recall came with starter buttons.

1. Big Healeys. I was taught to drive in a 100S and have loved (but never owned) them since.

2. The humble Mini 850 van with the big direct contact button on the floor.

As from this Wednesday, the big bad Dodge is being sold to a young enthusiast from Port Macquarie.

That leaves Plonky with a dilemma. Not wanting to put too many unnecessary kms on the Mustang...what should a get (as the Alfa is the handbrakes car)

I have already looked at a XR6T, XR8 in Phantom and a Ford Explorer as well as an Alfa 147GTA and a BMW 328Ci.

Considering that I already have my performance car(s) (Mustang and Alfa) I have gone for a sensible and practical option:

A Series 3 Ford XR6 ute will all the fruit. As it's ONLY a ute I thought that the money may be not properly spent if it bought a BA XR ute.

Though......I would still like a 944 Turbo or a 928, MB 560SEC, a Plymouth Road Runner/Dodge Super Bee or a Dodge Charger!

Plonky seems like your in for a hard decision (though I bet saying bye bye to mr dodge was hard too!)

We went for a test drive in a 4.6 8 Explorer a few weeks ago as one of my friends 'wants' a 4WD to show clients properties (didnt the dealer sh*t himself when three 19 YOs turned up for the drive ).

It was a nice car but being a big lad (read 20stone and 5'10") I found the rear seats a bit small and even the fronts were on the edge.Im short but I didnt seem to have much leg room either. It seems to have less room than a Gangsta Stylin 4WD should. As the mate said: Where can I put my AK47 in here?

I kinda have a soft spot for the 928 as well, its a bit eccentric but still a very nice machine and 928 S4's with the 5.0s are starting to drop under 30 Grand now.

Im sure however that you'll be happy with the ute. im also sure that everybody on this forum will agree 100% with that decision,

Damn wish I could get a bloody XR6 ute.No seriously...Id even be happy with an EF...PLEASE

OK folks, time to dust off this old chesnut and get some up-to-date news.

A lot of the old posters have gone from 3 years ago and there are a lot of newbies so there should be a few new thoughts. Plus some of the oldies have probably got more realistic........ :fool:

Yeah right.......

Original rules apply. $30k max.

Lets hear about those dream toys chaps and chapetts..... :finger:

*Refere to first post if you dont remember Claude*

Still in love with the Jensen Interceptor as seen in James Blunts "wise men" film clip.
