Its Bob from Car Concepts. I've chatted to him before. He doesn't do any work on these just supplies the parts and tunes from south as far as I know. I've been to Hitech. Dave mainly works on nissans. Pecky's is the go but they ain't done a wastegate mod before. His own T has stock turbo and actuator but running high boost.

I recommend to stay away from D&T, as I have only ever heard bad things about them.

Really?

I drive by there all the time and there's always heaps of cars there. It's a pretty big set up they've got going.

I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover though.

Can you be without the car for a little while?

You could always take the turbo off and send it to someone who could do the port job, or see if anyone does an exchange turbine housing.

Yeah thought of that but it's my daily driver so I cannot go without. D&T have a bad rep around town from all Mechanics I have ever spoken too. I have no experience with them though so I won't bag them. Never ask Bob from Car Concepts about them unless you have a spare 2 hours to hear his rant.

BTW - back on topic. Rapid has everything in stock should be shipping soon.

Talk about frustration.

My parts from Rapid still haven't arrived. Yes Adam and Worm you were both right.:clap:

I did call him when I ordered and he said they were in stock but here I am two weeks later with no parts. Powercruise is in 3 days and my tuner said it's too late to put it back on the dyno even if the parts turn up tomorrow :bangcomputer:

I have an emission control light (or whatever it's called) coming up on my dash with my new tune. Probably just the O2 thing that wasn't addressed when the tune was done. I never had that with Mick's tune. My tuner can't work it out and is calling herrod tomorrow to sort it. :dontknow:

My tuner is adamant that it isn't the Actuator but the Cat because he can't get it to spike??? anyway there was alot of talk about things that went over my head. All I know is that Mick is the gun and I believe what he has to say before anyone else. I'll punch the cat after the powercruise and get my tuner to do a run (just for my tuners benefit). Then install the 12psi actuator to see what happens. Hell its only money.

Anyway at this stage I'm $1,000 out of pocket and I'll be running the same old pit lane tune and set up as last years cruise at this stage. :crybaby:

If Rapids hotside piping turns up tomorrow, I'm considering throwing it on. What do people think about the risks of running it without a retune or check? I know I shouldn't but I really want even 1kw more power.
