Hi all

I am required to fit a tailshaft loop to my car for drag racing.

I am wondering where exactly I have to fit it. I have the standard 2 piece tailshaft on my XR6T sedan.

If anyone has any photos of their install or any tips that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I didnt think you needed a tailshaft loop with a two-piece tailshaft, could be wrong though.

I saw a nice full kit on ebay yesterday it came with everything down to the lock nuts and I wondered exactly the same thing then thought better of drilling holes in the floor.

You do need a loop for drag racing if you run 11's or under, Andra rules are it must be mounted no further from the front of the tailshaft then 25cm's for memory, ideally you'd fit two, one up front one at the back but mine being a ute it's too difficult to mount one at the rear. BTW I got mine from CMP universal style cost was approx $40 all inc :spoton:

Just picked up the universal one for $35 from CMP too, and a 5 point harness (won't install the crutch piece so its the same as a 4 point harness).

I'm struggling to find a definite answer on where to fit the thing. I've got the 2009/2010 ANDRA rule book and even that isn't very clear when I read it last night). I tried to email ANDRA twice on two of their email addresses and they both bounced back to me, gay :censored:
