Does that mean that they have some kind of upgrade for the guys who have only standard or prestige sound like me a poor little ute driver?Even just an upgrade in the stereo system would be good without all the sat nav etc bits and pieces. Any info would be appreciated, I've looked on their site but I couldn't find anything.

Then whoever is in contact with them needs to tell them that there is also a market for us with the dodgy stereo option. We need it more than the Premium owners! You can add TV Tuner, XBOX, PS2 whatever you want! Please note that the system is only compatible with 60Hz NTSC video signals. This means you cannot simply connect video signals with a PAL 50Hz output directly into the system. It is possible, but you need to use a system convertor (Expensive!). On a positive note, most copyed games are in the NTSC format For people without the colour screen fitted, the only option available at this stage is to install the complete DX-V navigation system which includes a colour widescreen. The DX-V screen can be mounted in the lower cavity where the tissues go. This system has all the options and features that the BA Premium system offers.See yah

I had one a long time ago for my Playstation was around $50 or so. My TV was NTSC and my playstation was bought in Australia (PAL) and it worked fine. All they do is change the way the colour signal is transmitted. This means you have a video signal which is a combination of PAL (colour) and NTSC (refresh). Your normal domestic TV has the ability to "Lock" on to 50 or 60Hz which allows to display this mixed signal. On older TV's you had to adjust the Vertical hold when using these converters. But with LCD/TFT displays it is a different story. They are usually not very tolerant to big variations in the refresh rates, thus the screen constantly rolls even if the colour format is correct.FYI. The only multi system converter I recommend is the CDM 630 available from WES for about $600.00 (way over priced - but what can you do??)This item allows you to convert any input signal to any format you want - with great picture quality. Can someone recommend a better/cheaper product?Regards,
Guest Isher Guests Posted 14/11/03 01:21 PM Share Posted 14/11/03 01:21 PM I dont know much about this PAL to NTSC conversion issue, but cant you get sub $200 DVD players these days that do teh 50 to 60 Hz conversion etc? If so this might be a cheap option.
