Or yes it's illegal? WTF with the exhaust tip - they'd be defecting every XT falcon as it come's of the truck if that's the case.←But is every XT being defected and issued tickets. No, because its unreasonable to do so and achieves nothing, as is the case with driving around with your fog lights on. Its just not enforced. Either way I'm not understanding youADR's would have to take precedent over state-based legislation wouldn't it? Either way I'm not understanding youADR's would have to take precedent over state-based legislation wouldn't it?←Just making the point that there are many silly little laws out there that are up to the discretion (or knowledge) of the police to enforce or not.If you're a *beep*, then they can come up with a raft of fines (standard or not, it just wouldn't look good to book a standard car, nor would it stick). If you're nice then they can let it slide. Also, I don't think the XT exhaust points down, just an angled straight tip. It's a 90 degree bend pointing to the ground that is illegal.Did you notice in the 90s that despite tinted tail lights being illegal, a few cars were getting around standard with black tail lights (RX7 springs to mind). It certainly can be defected. One very pertinent and recent case comes to mind - the BA daytime running lights that were fitted below the bumpers on Fairmonts.Tab> Didn't you read my post ??? I don't know why you had to ask your question ... you know I'm never wrong. YES, STIRICTLY SPEAKING AND BY THE LETTER OF THE LAW IT IS ILLEGAL TO DRIVE YOUR CAR WITH FOG LIGHTS ON IN CLEAR CONDITIONS, DAY OR NIGHT. Thank you.←Now where did I disagree buddy??? I said its rarely enforced and theres a very good reason for it. Basic common sense prevails where we all drive around with them on and dont get tickets for it. Ive had more to do with this issue than anyone that's posted so far. And I dont need to go look up the Australian road rules or the vehicle standards acts, road transport safety & traffic management act 1999, road transport driver fatigue act, road transport driver licencing acts, road transport general act or even the friggen fisheries act to give my opinions.
