Would the spare tyre clear the brembo brakes? Are you front wheels and rear 20" wheels the same width and offset? This idea may work, but you'd want to practice at home.Obviously, the spare will fit over the rear brakes.Rear flat, no prob.Front flat?Step 1. Still put spare on rear.Step 2. Swap flat front with rear wheel just removed.Requires jacking car twice (and same side if directional tyres) but may work if the rare event of a flat. Take off wheel and brake. Replace both

Born and Bred in the RSA Posted 19/04/11 03:23 AM Share Posted 19/04/11 03:23 AM Id day mate you would have to put the spare on the rear. If you get a flat in the front pull off a full size off the rear and pop it on the front.A hassle it would seem but the only way without having to purchase a 20" spare

They are fairly easy to find in ugly and scratched condition; you won't pay more than $100 for one.

I drove around for a year before I realised that my factory 18inch steely didn't get over my 8 pot fronts....

That's what I'll be running on my taxi. For a spare wheel, call wreckers and specialist wheel/repair places and you'll end up with a wheel for around $100. Just make sure that you get it checked for buckles before putting it in the car though.
