10,000 is fine if you use good oil..

5,000 if you tow alot and 7,500 if you are carrying tools.

If cheap oil is used then every 5,000.

just a rough guide anyway.

Also if you change the oil yourself remember to tighten the exhaust manifold and turbo bolts to 27nm every 10,000ks.

cheers.

With the evolution, and technology of this engine, along with the added heat produced by the turbo, oil quality and consistant oil changes are imperative to performance and probably more importantly engine durability, 5000kms is my limit. I have been driving high performance cars for many years and my first was a HZ GTS being my first, and I always remember my engine builder 30 years ago say these very important words "oil is cheap engine rebuilds are not". To this day I have been consistant with oil changes and have never had to rebuild an engine since. With my last V8(SV5000) being sold 3 months ago with 560,000kms without even a head coming off it. I sat down and worked out that I had spent, in 20 years about $2000 in oil and filters as I will never do an oil change without the filter also. So this has worked well for me, I am sure if you get good oil up to your car it will pay in the end. Cheers
