Capa don't have support. They are reflashing them illegally, have been for years, and there business ethic is what got the xcal1 turned off in the first place.

That's a big statement and quite unfair on CAPA I would suggest.......

Plus, its not the consumers problem to worry about legality when ordering generic tunes from CAPA going forward. (if people still do that of course)

Unfair is Everyone having to buy new xcals because of capa I would think.

Or is it unfair that you think capa can't operate out of there agreements with sct like they used too?

Of course its unfair on people who bought the XCal 1 and have been shafted.

No question, in fact I think the 18mth "notice" is questionable at law regardless of the previous opinion. Not that they cant do it, that's fine as a company has rights to do what it needs to, but the resolution offered to good-faith customers (tiny rebate on another purchase) based on consumer affair laws is/was completely inadequate IMO. (the analogue to digital TV comparison is entirely different)

But its also unfair to lay the blame squarely on CAPA, that's all I meant mate.
