Thought I would give another update and a few more pics showing the ride height a little better.

So I've gotten my stuff from Rapid and installed it all. V2 intercooler kit, 60 pound seimens, xforce 4" dump and cat, xcal 3, plazmaman P1 BOV and actuator. Got it tuned through Dion at dyne-mite and it pulled a respectable but disappointing 296rwkw. Apparently the valve springs are holding it back. The valve springs will go in shortly and hopefully I will get another 20 odd kw's. I think I will have to look at a cooler thermostat as well because my thermo fan is constantly on atm. Anyway on with the pics. Couple of install pics but crappy phone ones and some nicer good pictures. Hope you like.

Ben

Nice car and writeup,Dion should be able to sort out your thermo fan issue as it is possibly tune related if it just started. He can change the settings with his software.

Yeah I'm going to get Dion to look into it when I get the valve springs done. No big deal really

Thought I would update the progress on this. Got some valve springs from Rapid and got Dion at Dyno Mite to install them. I thought I would max out the little turbo so imagine my disappointment when I got a phone call saying that he can't get any more out of it. He thought it may be the stock exhaust so he dropped it after the cat but nothing. He changed the actuator thinking that could be it but nothing, so the current consensus is that my intercooler and piping are too big for the smaller turbo. It will boost up to 15psi at the start and then drop off rapidly to 11-12psi as the engine sucks in air. So at this moment I'm still on 296rwkw and still not in the over 300 club. Shattered. On a good note though I got the ZF tune done and it is either that or the extra 3psi at the start but the car feels a lot better. Black ford badges and ecu cover to come shortly.

I feel for you Ben, I can imagine how disappointed you were after such a long wait.

I am hanging out to see these badges too! I have a few ideas for mine after you confirm sizes!

It's been awhile but I have an update. People on Facebook would have seen this photo, but I thought I would post it up here too. The next round of mods.

List of parts are:

Mr Turbo billet turbo (bit hazy on this but from what I understand it has the .7 front cover as well as a 62mm billet wheel and standard exhaust housing)

Plazmaman Surge tank and wiring modified by Rapid to accommodate the Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump.

4" Xforce cat back stainless exhaust to go with my current 4"dump and cat.

KPM 1000cc injectors.

Silicon piping to match my 4" intake to the turbo 4" intake and 2.5" to 2.5" hot side to turbo.

275/30/19 Nitto Nt05 tyres.

Will be fitting this to my car as soon as I can then taking my car back to Dynomite for another tune on E85.

Before I fit it though I have to finish getting the Porsche 944 in my garage to RWC condition as I get the feeling that I will need it for when my XR goes bang. It has been sitting like this for 2 weeks now and probably will be another 2 weeks while I wait for parts from the states.

Anyway I am hoping to hit 450rwkw when I tune the XR. My goal is to hit 485rwkw so I still have to go a bit further. Exciting times lol.

PS Can a mod please change the thread title to 1NSANE please.

Hey man, nice to know someone else is from around West. Seems like we are badly outnumbered. Yeah we can meet up or cruise down to a meet up sometime.

Had my car at the tuners today and you can imagine my disappointment when he told me that the valve springs I replaced less than a year ago were beginning to float at 350rwkw on E85. So that is where my car is at the moment.
