Still down on power after the fault is cleared? wastegate stuck open is normally logged due too an underboost fault.

The Pcm doesnt actually know the wastegate is stuck open, its just altering wastegate control solenoid duty cycle too hit target boost and when it doesnt get it (within the parameters set in the pcm) it logs an underboost fault. if this happens enough times, and for long enough it will log wastegate stuck open.

Thanks for the info went and cleared it this morning and found it still has no power might as well drive the yaris around lol has another good look under the bonnet and found a large crack in the rubber boot on top of the throttle body ( the one with the two large clams) so I'll be shopping around for one today any ideas of who might have one on a Sunday? Has anyone had this happen before? Anyway soon as I change it I'll let you know if all the power is back thanks again

Interesting post Hiddeous. So the issue might be a boost leak of some sort causing that fault code?

Benny.

Looks like in this case! :)

best we have until the PCM starts logging "split intake joiner" ......one day maybe...... :) :tounge:
