Improving Early Acceleration And Responsiveness

Someone has made 420 on stock cooler. However, it probably drops to 320rwkw as heatsoak kills it!

We had an FG recently with eveything needed to make good power except the cat back exhaust (due to not being ready), it struggled to make 340 rwkw with out leaning on it too hard, when the exhaust was removed the mufflers were purple from the heat, looked like somebody had heated them with an oxy, when the new exhaust was fitted, with the same tune, it picked up a few psi and 60 rwkw.

sounds like for the first stage, a tune with injectors seem the way to go.

I have a question regarding tunes:

what are the rough performance differences between a tune using 95ron or 98ron?

My 95 tune makes 280 rwkw, 98 tune makes 335 rwkw. The other thing to remember is a tuner can give you lots of torque if you want it, and it will help the acceleration hugely- I have 1200nm on the 98 tune and WOW!- lots of fun

Got a dyno sheet for that figure/what RPM was it at?

Also is that auto or Manual? With that much torque your auto would be easily dead by now...

She is Auto 6 speed, had a full careful service before tuning. Power comes on smooth, all before 5000rpm, no worries at all with the tranny. All down to how you drive it- fang the shyte out of it every day and you will have probs ( and a crash!)
