I'm looking at upgrading the speakers, unamped, and just seeing what people are using and are they going well? Some modifications to the original speaker brackets, but they are going strong. I went to Autobarn, and they had pioneer, kenwood and clarion, and all 3 looked decent, price wise. confuzed... The 6.5" will fit, but the mounting bracket needs a lot more work on it to make it fit. Closer to a 6" I would think. I cut the guts out of the factory speakers to fit my 5 1/4" Type R front and rear.I had to make a spacer ring to fit them though. Must say the sound is miles ahead than the factory speakers. I had an annoying crackle from one of the rears and fraud said it will take a wk to get a look at it under warranty, couldn't be bothered waiting, and have a long drive coming up so forced to sort it out myself, so glad I did. Highly reccomended. The bass vibrates the drivers seat better than the sub does.
