No. I fitted 5 1/4". The 6.5" will fit, but the mounting bracket needs a lot more work on it to make it fit.

No they are actually a bit larger. Closer to a 6" I would think. I cut the guts out of the factory speakers to fit my 5 1/4" Type R front and rear.

I had to make a spacer ring to fit them though.

Just replaced my rears last night with JVC CS-V526 5 1/4" for $60 from supercheap, quite an easy job actually. Must say the sound is miles ahead than the factory speakers. I had an annoying crackle from one of the rears and fraud said it will take a wk to get a look at it under warranty, couldn't be bothered waiting, and have a long drive coming up so forced to sort it out myself, so glad I did. Highly reccomended. The bass vibrates the drivers seat better than the sub does. :buttrock:
