Hay guys tried looking through the forum couldnt find nothing on it!

I have an after market coolant tank an have filled it up not to much but not not enough! My problem is when the car is been driven an then I turn it off u hear the coolant bubbling up a little or watever its doing, it starts comin out the overflow (tube running to the floor) an see a little puddle most times I turn it off!

Am I just filling it up abit to much?

If its overflowing then you probably have overfilled it. The vehicle will dump excess coolant to the level it wants like that. If you were looking at the side of the tank is it 1/2, 3/4 or more full.

that's what I thought! But im thinking its overflowing n like creating a vaccum in there an emptys!?

Its a stainless one mate so can not view it from the side only once the lid is off! I dont fill it all the way up just enough til I think its below the overflow line!

Cheers

On my PWR tank, any over flow has to pass through the pressure cap to reach the overflow outlet (which I have a tube that runs down and drains to the ground).

If you have an FG then make sure you only have 1 big and 1 small tubes to feed the radiator. The B series had 2 smaller tubes, 1 for the radiator and one direct to the thermostat housing.

where abouts would I get a different pressure cap to suit my tank its not pwr but im pretty sure caps are the same!

if I have the wrong pressure cap water once upto running temp its going to go up past the pressure cap an out the overflow?

is it bad for it to not hold pressure? apart from the obvious the water leaking out

Cap for BA BF should be 120kPa which is 17.5 PSI = LBS It must be a recovery type cap
