hi there,,,

a question no one seems to be able to answer.

Do 6 piston front // 4 piston rear BREMBOS fit under the standard GS wheels ????

The performance shops I have rang can't seem do not have a concrete answer either way.

I have also rang a couple of fpv dealerships but no definite answer there either . So thought someone out there may have done this conversion , or put a GS wheel over a GT 6 pot / 4 pot combo

thanks for any feedback in advance

Boust

Need to check offset... Front will be fine... Rear Needs to be the wider offset (+28)...

Usually they only fit wider ones on cars fitted with 4 pot rears from factory.

Easy way to tell. Pull one off and see if it says "rear only" on the inside...

The rears are the same offset as the front...I have the same wheels, also off a GS. I also have a set of 6 pot Brembos waiting to go on, don't have any rears though but planning to buy some. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was only the BA 18 inch FPV wheels that had the staggered offset.

FYI, the same wheels are also available on the BF GT-P which has the 6/4 combo.

ok, did a bit of research on this as I wanted to confirm for myself also. What I have found is this:

- FPV sedans have the same offset front and rear from BF MK2 onwards only, so anything prior have the different offset rears.

- FPV utes have always had the same offset for both front and rear.

- The 8mm wider offset for the rears on the earlier FPV sedans was only for increased track to improve handling. It wasn't for brake clearance

So in short, the GS wheels should clear the Brembo rears. After all, plenty of F6 and GT owners have upgraded to the 4 pot rears on the back.

If any of this info is incorrect, someone please correct me.

boust, if you want to be 110% sure, see if you can meet up with someone running 4 pot rears, and test fit your rims on their car.

Not true. I have R Spec rims on my F6 with +36 on the rear and 4 piston brembo and there is plenty of clearance.

Can confirm the same with my +36 Force rims (which are Dark Argents in another name/colour)... Plenty of room.

Yes you're right the only real way to tell is for someone to put one of these wheels on a GT or GTP.

If there is anybody out there with this option available it would be so kind!!!!!!

As this will be one of the best brake upgrade options for FG GS owners of the future.
