I was thinking about the heat soaked air intake being a couple of inches from the motor.. might have to get something better.. is a bov a good mod to have or should I leave it on?Battery to the boot isnt all that expensive, prolly bout 1K by the time you run new cables, battery box, probably a new bigger battery, and getting a auto sparky to install it all. These cars leave the factory with a blow off valve, it is recirculated into the intake. Leave it on if you like, it will aid spool up time slightly, as the air wont have to reverberate back through the intake. But getting cold air for the intake works well, the colder the air the better.

Order an Under battery intake or a 4" and battery relocation. There's no way you will quiet it down while your running a dose pipe.harsh !!! mate just move your air filter so that it sits in front of the power steer reservoir. can easily be done if u remove the plate thing under the cap. it will get way more cold air. and nice ride, pwr coolers run awesome cores !!! I might buy a pipe that goes from turbo to somewhere that has good air flow and colder than engine heat soaked induction.. or maybe relocate the battery to the factory air box area. quick question if the cat has a specific tune on it, if I remove the battery will it interfere with the tune? coz im not sure if its stock ecu.. is there a way to tell? If you do... Unplugging the battery won't change a thing. The tune is loaded and stored into the ecu...

Probably only cost you about $100 in parts and a couple of hours to do it.
