Looks like you are goin to have some fun mate. I run a t51r turbo in my ute and it made over 500 rwkw on pump gas. I also had a heap of head work done I think it makes all the difference when you are chasing big power. Have done about 6000 ks with the big tune and only a few small problems. Get around 500ks to a tank on the highway to which isn't to bad for what it is.

Your ute sounds exactly about what I'm looking at running are you going to get a race tune? Run some different fuel? Just out of interest what injectors you running and do they go well even down low? Also how much head work you got I am not planning on any yet do you also have different cam?

80 pound Bosch I think, still has standard cams and yeah it is a bit fat down low. Will eventually do a race fuel tune more likely e85 at this stage. Just got other priorities at the moment (wedding) head has had a fair bit of work. Bigger head studs also. Very street able until you give it some.

heavier rod puts more stress on the crank and piston! what ever atomic charge is WELL WELL worth it, I can garentee you wont build one for much cheaper,

the atomic one has the cosworth pisons, and some big big numbers and quick times to its name.

poor man pays twice, im not having a go at you im just saying,

if I knew what I knew now I would have gone a big atomic motor from the start and saved $$$$$$

I always hear of guys whos engine builder is going to build them a way cheaper engine that's jjust as good, I just hope your not one of them and dont end up with a bill no where near your original figure!

also in my experiance I would go a t51 garret over a billet any day. my only encounter with billet was a terrible one, after the turbo going back 3 times for so called (upgrades) after us complaining about spool and power,(we were charged for each upgrade)we brought a garret, sspool time was just about halfed and power increased buy over 40kw on just over 5 pounds less boost.

good luck mate and dont take this the wrong way, I hate people making the same mistakes I did and waisting money

I know their
