Hey guys just putting up some info about my build I got going on at the moment.

The reason im building is because I put a 2 holes in my block and 1 in sump!! Theres 2 possibilities why this happened but I think it is the latter. 1 my exhaust was only 3 inch from turbo back (Stock dump) and I had nearly 18 psi (because I told them too, he wanted to stop at 15psi) going through my 05 bf (skinny BA rods).

or 2 I was traveling at undisclosed speed with full throttle and less than 1/4 tank and no surge tank!! post-40121-0-25635900-1301816101_thumb.j

Some things are not finalised yet but majority is worked out. I am hoping for at least 400 rwkw (more like 500) but dont want to get ahead of myself yet. I would like to acheive these with a litle bit of reliablity (if that is possible)!!

mods that are finalised are:

Exhaust: JD Custom 4 inch all the way turbo back with 2 quite big mufflers (hopefully this will quiet it down) as I like intake noise better!

Exhaust manifold JD custom

Intake: JD custom airbox/Plenum

Cooler: AVO with JD custom piping

injectors: seimens 80 pound (hope these will be big enough)

Fuel System: JD custom surge tank with one 044 to start with maybe 2 later on.

Clutch: Direct twin plate clutch rated to 1000hp

Engine:Scat rods, Mahle pistons, Atomic oil pump, Atomic valve springs, Atomic girdle, Atomic timing chain and gears, ARP head studs and all Atomic Bearings.

Im sure ive missed something but you get picture

Now the things undecided are.............

which turbo!!! I am leaning towards either billet 72mm or billet 76mm I beleive the 76mm is similiar specs to t51r!

but it will be decided in time.

Now I am not building this car for quarter mile as I dont want to put to much stress on driveline just yet (maybe in future). I would like to start doing some track days as I have never done anything like that but not so much for time just to have a bit of a legal drift.and maybe I been watching alot of powerskids lately and that looks like fun.

here is some pics of progress.

The beginning of removeing engine.

Well hopefully I will have some results in next couple of months. and thanks to everyone on here I have learnt quite a bit from this site reading through alot of topics I know not all of its true but good have some knowledge. also this has been a learning experience for me as I am an apprentice mechanic. I have enjoyed all this trial and error in my build (even the bad stuff like no surge tank) but its all an learning experience.

lol yeah I know its big but im going on the theory that if its bigger then less strain on engine. also gives me some room to move maybe too much but aw well we will see.

:stupid:

that's a huge turbo mate! may I seggest if you are going down the billet turbo path their SB70-GTS maybe even SB72-GTS would flow more than enough for your requirements. but these turbos will be quite laggy if you want to do track work. but will love the powerskids :3gears:

I was looking at the SB70-GTS for my build but decided againsed it

be good to see how your build goes mate, Mark from billet turbos knows his stuff!

Yeah I spoke with him and just said later on if I want to run some race fuel I dont want the turbo to run out of puff. he said the 72mm will run out between 700-800 hp so say it does at 700 that makes it only 520kw at engine which wont get my hope of 500rwkw. might be too big but just some more trial and error if it is! and tray what size is your billet turbo that's HUGE!!!

by track days I dont at all mean lap times, hard braking and that I mean chucking some sh*t rubber on back and just having fun because cant really do it on street too risky.
