Long story short me and the better half were lookin in the ford dealer on my days of last week and the salesman said to us when we looking at a new gt " stretching the budget a bit there are'nt we " just cause I go in there in my sh*t clothes does not mean anything. If he had of been a good salesman we prob would have left the fiancée shopping trolley there and driven out in a new gt. I think some people particularly salesman should not judge a book by it's cover ( unless it's a rolls Royce car yard cause I really cant afford one of them)

If I'm looking at a car I go in average clothes an don't brag about money. Looking loaded will just make the salesman think he can fleece you. Look poor but tell them you want it and they'll move more from my experience.

I get that a bit, im not rich but salesmen definitely underestimate my potential to buy at random and blow money.

He said " im on another world, and that im speaking chinese and he is speaking english. You just cant get that. " He just laughed at me saying I will never get anything like that for under 20 grand. What do you know, 3 days later I found a privately owned BA XR6T for 15 grand with 84000ks, knocked it to 13 grand. She has been the best buy of my life with no problems what so ever for the past year. :DShould of went back to him and told him whos speaking English and Chinese now the dumass Edited 02/04/11 01:19 PM by WhiteXR

He thought a brand new A8 would fit the bill. After not getting served for 40 minutes he cracked it and we got out of there. He's still driving the 1996 Hyundai excel. The salesman looked up from his paper and said nothing. Had a look in and out of the car 2 or 3 times and still nothing. Finally asked for assistance and he said the SS's were out in the lot and these are HSV's. He said someone my age (23) could not afford a HSV.Went to another dealership that day and got what I wanted. A few days later when we picked the car up we went to see the stupid salesman to show him the new HSV we just bought. His boss was very please we stopped in and showed him as well. I would not have wanted to be that knob that day.
dre Resident idiot. You would think that if I'm looking I might be a potential customer. Why treat me poorly.. I got treated ok. But not great. Got ignored alot. I'm always in cargos and a hoody, I also shop during the day as I work night shift.- so probably look unemployed.. But I'm not!Long story short- I purchased a BMW in 09 and was treated with amazing friendliness and genuine interest by BMW, Mercedes VW and even better by Lexus.Last year I purchased the F6. Many dealers ignored me. The ones who didn't refused test drives. I could not believe how poorly some of these dealers treat customers. I have been to alot of different car dealers and Lexus went above and beyond to help me. VW were also very keen to throw keys at me and let the cars do the talking. HSV dealers were like vultures they were all over me but had no interest in what I actually wanted. Edited 03/04/11 08:07 AM by dre
