I've got a pretty tidy XH ute which is the everyday drive/junker and my FG of course. Mate I had some big hp cars when I was younger and I cringe when I think back of how much of a dick I was. We're just wired different at that age - it's not a judgement thing. Treat it like drugs mate - a lure you can do without. Get something half tidy, put some nice wheels on it and save ya money. Encourage a mate to buy a Turbo and ride with him - he he.

I think you'll find that most cops these days are pretty cluey and can spot an IC a mile away and know that it's usually attached to a hairdryer under your bonnet

Reminds me of a copper just ouside of Maitland who tried to book me for a stock phoon I/C.

Truth be known , in those days "ole yella" was one of the first getting around ( build 56 from memory)

Probably just wanted to look under the bonnet. He was correct however that I was speeding by quite a stretch.:innocent:

Obviously passed the attitude test and carried on my merry way .

Still miss rowing the gears in a manual despite owning a ZF auto

Reminds me of some epic drives through Kiama and the Sth Coast of NSW with the DBOSS in his new GT

edit. farkin nearly 6 years ago, bought myself a Phoon for my B'day and not to be outdone Jeff buys a GT and takes delivery a day after.

great 40th party though :buttrock:
