1st Gen was 5.5 until Mazda did a recall- boost was at 19 psi. (they reflashed them a couple if months in)

And they easily beat xr6t's. Modded ones were even better.

I can't keep up with my old one In a straight line(yet) And forget the corners.

Corners absolutely but in a straight line I highly doubt it. I actually ran one in my manual BA, I assume it was a series 1 and it had nothing in a straight line. Pulled away from me on the corners but on the straights I would catch up with ease.

We have like over 50% more torque at 1000 less revs, traction aside how could they possibly win off the line or even on roll ons?

Figures are rough cause I don't know much about the new models but you see my point.

I ran a few MPS's a few times and had them all... off lights and roll ons. Dunno if they were modded or not but once I was in second bye bye.. I had around 240ish rwkw's

I ran a VE GTS that had a harrop s/c and beat that in my G6E, if you can't beat a Mazda 3 on the street than b series are really sh*t or your gay!

And cornering, well that's 100% driver, I was keeping up with a well modded 200sx on the gor, in a 190e merc with cut springs no travel bald tyres and a blown rh rear shock, with the sunroof open so my head could pop through it when I hit bumps (lucky they have sprung seats) it's how you drive it...

andrewd, if you are going compare who's faster than who, then I will race you in[ on a track of course] on my r1,n/a 1.0 ltr, and 30grand cheaper than your g6e, not even forced induction. then we see who is gay.

yeah sorry dillz, was waiting for a mod to say something, but back on topic. who cares who faster,corners better,stops,goes,and what everelse, just think they are a great little car for everyday use.

I sold my ba turbo for a MPS 3 first series and it has been a great little car, as has been said fix the suspension setup like I did and it is a great little car, it will not beat a xr6 turbo in a straight line but with the suspension change it will go around corners like it is on rails....really fun car to drive and 80 to 120 it pulls very hard and should keep up with an xr6 turbo. But in saying that im actually selling mine at the moment to get into an FG XR6T ute as I do miss having a ute

Off the line they are hard to launch. On a roll from 80-120 they are actually one of the fastest production cars out there. But I get the feeling so people around here don't like their feelings to get hurt so I'll focus on other things..

I had one and only had a couple of modded xrt's beat me. Forget the standard ones.

As for torque the STD Mazda has 380nm and better suited gearing. It's a hopeless long distance car as it has a close ratio 6 speed. It's not perfect but to be honest in the right hands it's a weapon. Like I said I can't keep up with my old one from any speed and im in an FG F6.

I think this thread is strange - the two cars don't compare in any way other than having an engine, four doors and both go fast.

Who really cares which is faster or handles better? Regardless, in one car you can be proud to own and drive, the other has "tryhard wanker" written all over it, whether the owner wants to think it or not (the same applies to the Focus XR5).

No offence Dre - I think your F6 is brilliant!
