On a ute.... Stamp duty is fixed at 2.5% + NO luxury car tax on commercial... BUT a titbit I've discovered is All FPV vehicles incur $1695 ( compared to $895 on XR ute), dealer delivery , presumably because much more intensive pre delivery requirements

I am fairly sure the extra is from having to use special car transporters because the FTE/FPV cars dont have enough clearance to ride on the standard trucks used for delivery.

l doubt they will do much extra at pre-delivery, two times bugger all is still bugger all. And you can only wash it so many times. :D

Mondie... FPV dealer here ( Bayfords) told me they only have 2 guys qualified to do FPV pre delivery & that they take anything up to THREE days to do a vehicle compared with 6-7 hrs on "normal" Ford!...I agree with you , though!....Just HOW many times can they wash it??

Sorry for my cynicisim Charliewool, but we used to own an FTE and l didnt see much difference in service.

Ford were trying but it was the same faces behind the scenes and the same pressures of a large volume dealer that dictated the service provided at the end of the day. European service standards it aint. l am not having a go at Ford/FTE but they set expectations and so they need to meet them.

I don't know how you people do it.

Both of the dealers I have been to are not prepared to give freebies for anything.

The car is full price and you pay for all options because there is so much demand and if I don't like it someone else will.
