Could relate the smell to a train when its brakes are hot. As I have never had a 4litre turbo, I have only had a couple vt+vx v6 and a vy ss I dont know if this is a normal smell on fords and/or turbos... once again I could be just being paranoid as it is new and all that sh*t lol but all temps are fine, levels are all fine im just worried it could be turbo related...I guess if the turbo is pushed hard its expected to put off a "funky" smell. I could be wrong? I smell the hot metal smell while driving. Also yeah my stock temp gauge on my BFII sat a tiny bit below half rain, hail or shine. Now tuned/thermostat change it's a bit over a 1/4 while cruising. I'm just sick of heat issues with cars, its the only problems ive ever had with cars even with regular services and good maintenance. as its new to me (its just done over 130 clicks) I want it to last for a very decent amount of time. cheers fellas, im more settled now haha.
