I'll be doing mostly city driving, so what do you think?cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/7399-xr6-na-or-standard-6-owners-happy-with-the-car/ Share on other sites

Although I dont own a turbo or NA, I have driven both and must say that the turbo is in a totally different class. The NA has a good response when you put the foot down, but you dont get the rush that you feel when the turbo kicks in, its unbelivable. If you are not completely strapped for funds, go the extra, you wont be dissapointed, even with a completely stock standard one. Drive the turbo and you will never look back... Posted 10/11/03 01:27 AM Share Posted 10/11/03 01:27 AM NA here and having driven a few BA's recently I'm very happy with the NA and the only thing that stopped getting the T was cash. Drive em both and make a decision then.Good luck, enjoy the roadtests. If you can afford it go the turbo, its great and its a bargainIf you cant (as I couldnt due to extra running cost such as fuel and insurance plus extra purchase price), then go the NA - its a very underated car - that damn turbo thingy stole all the limelight!!!0-100 in 6.5secs is quick enough for me! Guest Raslin Guests Posted 10/11/03 05:42 AM Share Posted 10/11/03 05:42 AM I bought myself a NA XR6 Ute and I could not be happier with it. The money was a problem when it came to getting the Turbo, but I will be looking at trading the NA in for a turbo in a couple of years. I miss the power of the turbo after I got rid of the 200sx Spec R.But to answer your question there is nothing wrong with the NA if you can't afford to get the turbo. As for speed, the NA goes quite well and is very comfortable with nice interior e.t.c. Guest rabbit Guests Posted 11/11/03 06:58 AM Share Posted 11/11/03 06:58 AM Thanks Merlin. I'm interested but have some questions:- What 0-100 time were you doing before fitting the exhaust?- Is the increase in performance significantly noticable?Cheers.
