So, as a few people know, I've been hanging to get my FPV GT for the past 3 and a half months. I purchased it back in December, and wanted one brand new out of the factory..

It finally arrived on Monday, 9pm, taken straight off the delivery truck!

And I've got to say, what a piece of artwork! This car is definitely a head turner, and I've never heard anything quite like the engine. The V8 is noticeable, but subtle enough to let the whine of the supercharger completely turn heads. With only a few kilometers on the clock, I have yet to really give it a full boot.

Of course, I haven't even reached 6,000 revs on it yet, but one thing I will point out is how smooth the power delivery comes through. Whether this is good or bad is something I'll find out a bit later on, but compared to the FG turbo's, though the GT is faster on paper, it definitely doesn't feel as fast when driving it. Why I say this is because once you hit 2,000 revs on the FG turbo, you instantly hit a massive amount of torque and power, sending the rest of the revs to hell. However, in the V8 S/C, it's the opposite.. Torque is instant, but it doesn't feel like it's delivering that whiplash you'd get from the turbo.

I love the car's power, no doubt, but hopping from an FG turbo to the GT 335, I feel gimped in terms of performance, at this moment.

Everything else though, my God, incredible! From the sound, to the leather interior, to the suede found completely everywhere (mmm, fury), it definitely looks like a very beasty & aggressive car, yet modern in the interior to suit any European performance-car lover's needs. Mine included.

The white looks incredible - and though it's still a tad dirty from the trip here from Darwin, I'm glad I went from that colour.

white is the new black, I would even spray the raccon eyes white, and take all decals off aswell. will just look so clean. but awsome car anyway. leaving it stock or will you do a bit of work on it. and hows the bimodel exhaust note, have not heard one yet.

Got the decals as an option - I like them haha.. and the Raccoon eyes is what makes it stand out as an FPV :P

Leaving it stock for awhile.. the no-intercooler situation scares me a little, so I might put one on down the track and tune it, but basically keep the rest stock.

I don't believe the exhaust is everyone's taste. A few people who heard it (friends) thought it would be louder, especially at idle.. I like it, but it's definitely not as loud as HSV's. I'll take a video once I get a chance.

Yeah turning heads away from those horrid wheels stirthepot.gif

But seriously mate a nice set of black 20's would really set the car off I think. Otherwise yeah looks the bizz.

I reckon it probably doesn't "feel" as quick because the power is so linear... Most charged v8's are like that...

I'm tipping it would beat an F6 to 200km/h...

Farken sensational Ark.

That is one fantastic car. Just what I want.oooooooooooh. It really does not matter who what and why. It's the new GT and has the cred already.

Being that your in the NT those pic's seem kinda weird...they look like they were taken on a cold dark dank Melbourne dusk..

Noice ride though. :msm: ...except for the stripes.

Haha.. bit of photoshopping :P the car was dirty at the time of photos...

@Worm, completely agree.. I think the linear power from the v8 s/c is what makes the car feel slower then the turbo, but damn does it sound good :) Once you get the oil a bit warm, the supercharger really whines :D
