Battery Relocation

Hey Guys thought I might ask for some advice I installed a plazamaman intercooler but didnt enlarge the passenger side plastic member there fore the plazmaman battery mount wont work just want to know if theres any other battery mounts out there I can use to get around this. I attached a few picture of how much room I have to play with hopefully someone out there was in the same situation and another pic the the cooler setup so you get an idea what I mean. Thanks guys

Relocate the battery to the boot...

To add more to that, its the easier thing to do, and will keep your engine bay neater. Make sure you use a dry cell (optima or odyssey) to avoid an explosion...

Sorry to hijack but you got me worried lol... whats wrong with a nromal battery in the boot??

The problem with using the normal battery is they produce hydrogen gas and a spark in the boot might blow the boot lid off

Don't all VE como's have the battery in the boot?

Yes they are but they are a sealed battery with a breather hose leading outside the car. Sealed batteries don't hav the breather holes in the cell caps insted they hav one vent hole with a hose in it also found in alot of euro cars with batteries in the boot.

Hey guys thanks heaps for your help I wasnt so keen on locating the battery in the boot so contacted Alex from plazmaman showed him the pics via email and told me to play around with the pipes on the passenger side and to use there battery trays as that might fit with out enlarging the passenger side member after couple of hours all done even done my air box heres some pics of how it ended thanks again guys for ya input
