NVT I think the max of the small turbo is 320-330 so you should be right, the ZF should be fine with that power and so would the valve springs one would assume. But if you wanted more then yeah things would have to change and it could get expensive.

Thanks Dillz,

That's probably all I'm going to want. A little over 300rwkw sounds tops :spoton:

I guess having all of the above mods would be a little bit overkill, but I'll wait and see when I get closer to getting one!

Thanks Dillz - And to everyone else who provided some feedback :drinks:

Cheers guys!

Dan

Hey guys,

Just a bit of an update - Have spoken with my finance company and they have pre-approve my loan...

I think I'll have a car much sooner than I thought :spoton:

After looking around, I was wondering; Is a BF phoon/FG T with 60 - 70,000 too many?

I've seen two BF phoons I have fallen in love with, but the FG's high praise is still in the back of my mind. Will be test driving the phoons and a FG I'd say.

Thinking for the moment, just a mild tune, fuel pump and injectors for either car. Will they net a similar power? Hoping I can get away with the injectors, fuel pump, Xcal and the tune for about $2,000. Will look into an exhaust and intercooler/intake kit a little later.

Thanks guys, will let you know what happens!

Dan

Good stuff, sounds like its moving along quickly. As for overkill with the mod, having all that would mean less restrictions present in the intake and exhaust and should result in a lower boost to acheive the same power.

Keen to hear how you get on.

Thanks Wenier,

Yeah it's such a tough choice to make at the moment. In Perth, $30K will only get you an FG T 2008-2009 - lowest KM's - 60,000 and they're all white... Looks like a number of chasers, but not a bargain to be had anywhere currently...I'm not paying $35K for a black/ego FG one with the same KM's...

I've seen a BF II phoon that I can get for $28K. Just done 70,000 and has a few nice options... Or for low 30's can get a 2007 BFII R-spec with 38,000 fully optioned... Makes it hard to lean towards an FG...

But I will keep looking around. If anyone sees any nice ones around Perth, I'd love to hear about them :spoton:

Cheers guys,

Dan

But I think it's safe to say a 320 Fg will own a 350 Bf to reasonable speeds so it really depends on what you want out of your car. If it's a dyno queen go the bf cause of the bigger turbo, if it's a quick streeter I would go the Fg.
