I gave a personal opinion based on my own testing with numerous exhausts that started in 2003 varying power levels from 180 to 600 rwkw.It is that tuners choice as to what power level he would recommend a 3.5" dump up. That's OK but you need to look at crossover points. A part may be able to be used up to a given level of power x (being pushed), but a different (or larger part) may start to work better a lower power level than x.It's like guys who used to say that a stock IC can be used for 300rwk on a BA/BF, which may appear OK until you find out how much boost they were pushing. You are best upgrading to a larger part well below that power level. In this case if someone is coming (and of course not necessarily stopping) in at a level of say 360+ rwkw I'd advise the larger dump rather than the smaller dump. XYZ Donating Members 1,171 Member For: 15y 3m 22d Posted 20/03/11 11:24 AM Share Posted 20/03/11 11:24 AM The dump looks like mild steel because it is mild steel... Why would I need a 4 inch dump pipe?...3.5 inch is more than suitable for up-to 450KW at the flywheel...this is more than adequate for my application... The reason I asked is that you paid $2.5K for a "custom" stainless steel exhaust and you ended up with what looks like an Xforce mild steel dump with off the shelf mufflers?I'm a big fan of custom exhausts, I even paid a little more than you for my old 3.5inch system. However, the whole exhaust was custom made, including Dump and mufflers.. Not off the shelf products that have pieced together. At the end of the day, as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters. However, if you going to post details of your mods on a public forum, expect to get honest opinions and feed back.Ben

The exhaust system is nice and shiny so issues like price or diameter are really just side issues.

Not sure how you can state that it might be "arguably the best" though - have you somehow listened to every T and their exhaust/muffler set-up in Aust to give basis to that argument?!! Cheers. The x-force 3.5" would probably be my pick but I do get over buying china sh*t. Would much rather support aussie products. Unfortunately, that's why x-force are cheaper and quality is hit and miss.
