Mind you I seen many BAs with 375-380 running high 10's. Its all shown in the MPH at the end of the day. MY BTR gave me 126+mph times with 350rwkw with no hiccups. Making an auto last needs a few things. Such as regular servicing, trans cooler, trans pan, a GOOD tuner to properly tune shift pressures and torque reductions etc.

Some people get more life then others. Its a flip of the coin.

Anyways ive had the APS stage 3 kit fitted with the process west race plenum also new coil packs,heavey duty valve springs and platinum plugs. At the time I was advised that the bottom end(mainly the rods)and 4 speed autos are random events waiting to happen, this is why I was trying to guestomate how long.

so my plan is to get an Atomic short drop it in. A C4 auto and the xr8 diff(supposed to be taller ratio)

This should keep V8's honnest for a while lol

if I recall, a cheap fix would be drop the sump, pull the rods and pistons out, and JUST replace the rods. I dont know many people who have done this though. Usually for piece of mind people swap the pistons to....but they dont stop there!

At your level it is HIGHLY recommended you run a surge tank +044 pump. This is how 90% of BA motors with 330+ blow (like mine). Put one on!

As it says in my sig. and *Beep* has posted earlier 11.68@122, I think I couldve gone quicker on street tyres but crack the 11 on the second run with that power and then sooked out because I have to drive 3hrs home lol and didnt want to break anything. :surrenderwave:

To give you an idea of the hardlife my falcon had, I bought it with 48000ks on it, by the time I sold it at 77000ks id gone through 6 pairs of rear tyres and 22 runs down the 1/4, 14 of wich were all done in one day :icon_ford:

I purchased mine 2nd hand with 37k on the clock in 03, I have now clocked 102k with only 2 problems. At 87k had the input shaft replaced and was told dont launch hard off the line falcs dont like it and at 90k a shot coil pack and was told ford should have recalled the BA's because of this, outside of this (touchwood )I have zero issues.

luck maybee mmm I don't know but I do service every 3k needed or not

BTW just to show how hard I hit it and the way my head works, thursday morning at about 1030 a vz ss crewman ute pulls up beside me (aka pinhead), exhaust job sounded nice, gives me the nod.

he hits the hammer early lights go green I see red pedal hits metal game over at 90km/h !@#$ him I just got into second and I could read his no plate in my rearveiw mirror, piss weak Expensive Daewoo crap funny part now I pull up at the next set of lights easy 100 metres ahead he crawls up beside me like super ultra slow and then says "f*ck that goes good" and turns left and leaves me, wtf hey pin head get back ere y do you suck, is ford better, cant u drive 2 many questions I need answers cmon stuff him. Home drink beer no more driving today small win :icon_ford:
