tattooxr6 Member 20 Member For: 14y 4m 15d Posted 08/03/11 01:58 AM Share Posted 08/03/11 01:58 AM I bought one of the BA HDI intercoolers, im not the best at fitting things and I thought it was just a basic bolt on, but the manual requires me to cut away at support bar and a few other bits n peices..has anyone had a go at fitting one of these coolers?? and if so, was it a total headache! im deciding whether or not I should just pay to get it fitted at a workshop or do it myself.... I had a mate fit my last cooler that needed a fair bit of trimming and he didn't like doing it. But it had to be done. Other than that, there write ups all over the forum on the other bits needed. The perfect height also requires you bend the aircon pipe about 2-3 cm up. Mburgz010 Member 17 Member For: 14y 5m 22d Posted 11/03/11 06:02 AM Share Posted 11/03/11 06:02 AM I fitted my hdi about 6 months ago, and did have to cut 10cm each side of the reo to fit it in, you need 2 poeple ( just a mate for 15mins max) so one can hold it up to get it in the right spot, other than that its a easy fit and looks good once its in, no problems at all just make sure you use a die grinder with a metal cutting bit to tidy it up with, goodluck mate, and can be done in half a day Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/73681-hd-intercooler/#findComment-1088116 Share on other sites
