Didn't have that on the BA.Possioned the catch drum, removed the sump plug, hot oil up the sleeve. As it drained I thought to remove the filter.Had to use 2 hands on the wrench to get it to move, off comes the filter looking a bit crushed.Pulled out the new filter, AHHHH its not the same as the filter I kept from the BA.The mate took me to Autobarn to buy the correct filter, didn't know it had changed.Got back fitted the filter, installed and tightened the sump plug.Lowered the car poured in approx 7lts of oil.Now came the interesting part. Between the 2 of us we had a hard time seeing what level was on the dip stick, the oil was so clean. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know to make it easier to see.Anyway started it up and all ran okay. The 1 hour I thought it would take took just over 2. Tobey Awesome... Just make sure with the new filter you coat the seal in a bit of oil and dont do it up to tight, just do it up as much as you can with your hands, no need to use a tool on it.Best thing to see the oil is to catch it in the light to see the level... Benny Member 1,869 Member For: 21y 5m 12d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle Posted 07/03/11 09:33 AM Share Posted 07/03/11 09:33 AM I just did mine yesterday, I know it's hard to see the level. 7 ltrs is definately too much and as RHR has said 6 litres is plenty. As you would know now the filter is an AFL101.Benny.

Guest XR09 Guests Posted 07/03/11 11:06 AM Share Posted 07/03/11 11:06 AM Definitely 6lt on a change. 7 maybe on a rebuild. My filter was on way too tight. But I doubt they oiled the O'ring at the factory. No oil in the motor yet.
