He said a mechanic told its the tail shaft.Sometimes while driving it went but most of the time it was this real bad clunking noise wasnt coming from engine bay but rather well it seamed under the console, if anyone has any ideas thatd be great. They have higher than normal shaft play. Under my Ute I can turn the tail shaft 20 odd mm while its in gear. So every time I go from no load to load it clunks. Ford rekon its normal. If its constant and varies with speed then something is wrong.

I too would like to know what it is so I can perhaps squeeze it in for a warranty job before it expires. Obvously something with the drive shaft...but what?At least I can replicate it....just find me a hill to slowly drive up, and clunk clunk clunk with every revoution of the shaft, so it would seem.
