The reason the Commodore v falcon sales figures are so one sided is that the commodore figure includes the sportswagon. Sedan vs sedan the falcon has come out on top on a number of occasions.

Mute point as there is no equivalent in the Falcon range anymore....You could say the Falcon sedan sales are high because they dont have the wagon...

Agree that Ford's marketing is slack...but why exactly is that a problem?

They are making a profit as are the majority of their dealers, keeping a sh*tload of people in a job, supporting local industry, providing a decent product, appear to have business longevity compared to competitor(s), very active in global engineering etc. - yet there is somehow something wrong?

How does a better sales figure make any difference to you or I?

I'm not understanding all the fuss.

I'm pretty sure there is a bit wrong..

The redlines are too expensive IMO. They're an Bogan special base with the 2K option (redline). They list for over 50k in the sedan.

Really? I thought they were roughly the same?

So leather and premo sound or brembo's slightly better suspension and chrome 19's...? Tuff choice..

But why?

Not knocking everyone's ideas as to how to sell more cars or increase brand recognition etc...but why? Having a stable product is much better than erratic sales volumes that can only be sustained by massive discounting that really fcks-over the resale value and thus makes the brand volatile.

Expensive Daewoo have to spend millions on marketing to feed the hungry beast that they are, cannot see the benefit in Ford going down the same path for not only Ford's sake but also the industry in general.

Not for 2k it's not - good value, easy choice IMO. Problem is, they don't do a 'redline' in SS hence the price ballon. Where they would get me interested is base SS plus 2k for redline. If we had a brembo option and 19's on the T for 2 grand how many would get that!

Don't ask for a trade in price then. I shat. Serious. Less than half the RRP on a two year old car. Not counting on roads. I don't even lose that much on my bikes.

There is very little wrong with the FG. Some say it's the dealers, some say it's the parent company. But there is a bad stigma at the moment with Ford. Marketing can be easily fixed. Outsource. The dealers attitude mmmm.

yeah, I'm in denial about that. I never trade but - always put the effort in and sell private.
