(look for cracks/blown out gasket material)Ensure your using the correct oil in your engine as the valve train will knock a bit if it's wrong.(my old EF falcon made these bad rocker tapping noise's after putting the wrong oil in the old girl) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rud: I got all my pullys changed last service as my idler was stuffer and tensioner was bouncing around too much..Cccc: boost solenoid makes a noise? Listening through a screwdriver, it is loudest in the belt/idler/pulley area. It hasn't gotten any worse in that time. It only makes the noise once the engine is warm.
