I have a general understanding of what an intercooler does and why they are used, I have 2 questions though:

1. If you upgrade the standard cooler on an xrt with nothing else will it increase the fuel burnt at all times due to the air being more dense?

2. Will a higher octane fuel be required if the cooler was added, for example going from 95 - 98 octane

I am unsure myself, thanks for the help

Always good to run 98 either way.

Usually it wont cause more fuel to be burnt, however it will keep intake temperatures consistent and you wont lose power on hot days or hard driving from the heat.
