Hey guys just wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem, whilst the car is running it is very difficult to change gears whilst the clutch is in - of course.

there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with my clutch as it grabs and doesnt slip at all, while the car isnt running its as easy as it always has been to change gears.

Maybe the clutch slave cylinder has let go and not engaging the clutch to its full capacity? I'm no expert, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Sam.

Could be that there is air in your system, try getting the clutch re-bled, could be the csc or master cylinder also but I would start with the easy cheap stuff first.

I'm tipping though a bleed will fix your problem

Tried bleeding it, no such luck.

Bit the bullet yesterday and pulled the box out, went to the local mechanics where he has a new slave on the shelf, the one from my car had about half the amount of movement as a new one. bought it and will be fitting it this arvo.. ill keep you updated as to whether it worked or not.

Cheers, Sam.

I would recommend if the csc is out to fit and alloy one, we sell them for $175 and they are a lot stronger then the plastic ones

Hey guys, for anyone interested I replaced the csc last night and it has no fixed my problem - I did put an alloy one in, as ford quoted $400+ for theres.

It's got me beat to what it could be, also thought I'd let you know how this happened, was at the drags, did a burnout, the clutch pedal went rock solid for about 5 seconds, I then had to pump the pedal about 10 or so times to get the clutch working again.

Hope that info helps some of the experts as im stumped..

Any help is appreciated, Cheers, Sam.

sounds like some internal damage there.... laying skids with a T5 isnt the best thing for those little boxes, id recommend going to a Trans specialist and getting it opened up... if the problem is still hanging around after replacing the CSC or anything, dear I say a rebuild or a new gear box :dontknow: otherwise u could get your clutch system checked out??? is it the standard one? I had a fair few issues with mine! so I decided just overloading it till it snapped the plate haha now I got a Malwood option 3 and its holding up to my heavy driving style with the tune I have

good luck anyway mate!

Sounds like syncro damage.

They can be repaired easy enough. A T5 isn't a complicated box.

Thanks guys for the info. I thought it might be synchro's aswell, but how it happened didnt seem like it could support that..

Now with the car back together I noticed the higher I rev the engine the harder it gets to puch my clutch in. Car is drivable but difficult.

Thanks, Sam.
