JonBoss Member 7 Member For: 14y 7m 2d Gender: Male Location: Central Coast NSW Posted 24/02/11 09:51 AM Share Posted 24/02/11 09:51 AM HiToday when slowing down to turn into a street as I stopped the car it shuddered and the engine stalled, I selected neutral and restarted the engine and put it in drive and it shuddered and stalled again, after a few times of doing this I managed to get the car rolling and engage drive.Each time I slowed the engine wanted to stall so it was pretty tricky getting through the traffic without stopping, when I got home I could select reverse with no problem but as soon as I put in drive the engine stalled.It feels like when you drive a manual and stop without pushing the clutch in.The car is a 2009 FG XR6 five speed auto, I know I will have to get it towed to the dealer tomorrow so any heads up on the problem would be much appreciated.
