The factory car is one of the biggest restrictions in the stock exhaust system. Putting a 100cell large body cat will allow your factory exhaust to flow a lot more and by removing center muffler or a twin 2.5" cat-back it will be good for 300rwkw+.

You will need a retune if you replace the cat.

Where are you located?

thanks for the reply..I got told I wouldnt benefit from replacing the cat on a standard system, id be better off replacing the whole exhaust. I didnt really want to replace the whole exhaust, the power lvl I was looking at is low 300rwkw. ive got the centre muffler removed already and replaced with straight pipes. im located in townsville.

stealthf6, I bet an exhaust shop told you that so that they could sell you a whole system.

Get a Rapid 100cpi 5" body cat with 3" inlet/outlet, take it to an exhaust shop and they will cup out factory cat and weld in the new one. Do not drive the car around untuned!!

Totally agree, just get them to weld the cat into your standard system. I have the exact set up in my F6 and im pushing 304rwkw. I love the stock stealth sound.

Dont stress too much about driving it around untuned after your mods. I put in a 100CPI Ballistic, new cooler and 4" intake and drove it constantly for 3 weeks without a problem before I could make it to the tuner. JUST DONT HIT BOOST, which is easier said than done, but if you have a boost gauge and some self control it is possible. Too many people treat the motor as if its made from egg shells and are scared to drive the car anywhere. Just be careful with it and youll be able to drive it around without a problem, just dont flog it as that's when youll get problems
